So i went on the internet to see how to fix it. It said to restore it which i could by holding the ps3 button and let it beep 4 times. I went to restore ps3 system. Its been runnning for 2 hours or so now and it just says "Restoring default settings... Do not turn off the system." It doesnt give me a percentage of how much is done. Is this normal or what should I do? Please help!!!!!!!!!

What he said^. If it isn't I would honestly turn the thing off.

Just let it go mate, the full restores take a crap ton of time id just let it go overnight or so. Tomorrow if it has not went anywhere then I would be concerned.

Try formating the hdd in recovery that's what I did it fixed black screen 4 me
