1) Im going to buy a second ps3 so what should i be looking for.
2) What do i need to mod it, i.e dongle, firmware etc?

Okay you need a ps3 with atleast firmware on the max of 3.55 how lower how better.
If you get that then you only need a usb that is FAT32 formated. Pm me when you got more questions

lower better what do u mean isnt 3.55 that is better for modding an 3.41 is about the sAME

if i'm right in update 3.50 they blocked downgrading so if you get a ps3 on 3.41 than you'll be able to downgrade with a simple USB stick

Anyone know where to get one please?

i'm sure stores have the latest ''hack proof'' model but you can always ask for it (some social engeniring ). ask for a PS3 on firmware 3.55 or 3.41
search on sites like ebay and type in PS3 3.41/3.55 whatever firmware you want.
also try Google and search buy PS3 OFW 3.41/3.55 (or something in that matter)

Ive tried ebay with no luck. I'll have to go to the local stores and see what trade ins they got.
