I just switched from a different forum because it is dying out so I feel like I should start up my reviews again but on this site. I try for one at least once a month or if Sony releases another firmware update. So let's begin.

The Playstation Firmware Update v4.00 was released! But to me, it's no different than the last three (3.73, 3.72, and 3.70) except for the fact that they are including the new PS Vita system. Oh, and they added/fixed some System Settings and added a new Privacy Setting located somewhere under Account Management. Now, I love the fact that our boys (and girls?) at You must login or register to view this content. have been on a role with releasing constant Firmware Spoofs (and other interesting things that you can view for yourself). I want to clear up some confusion that some people are having. If you install the Rebug 4.00 Spoofer onto your Jailbroken CFW 3.55, you are able to data transfer from your OFW 4.0 PS3 to your CFW 3.55 PS3. Now, you can always data transfer a low system firmware to a higher one but not the other way around unless you have a Spoofer on your system (Not sure yet if there are other ways). I prefer Kmeaw's CFW 3.55 but that's just me because I have always had his CFW since he released it.

I do suggest that if you are on Official Firmware 3.60+, that you update to 4.00 because it's pointless to stay that low. It is also pointless to buy a new PS3 and try to downgrade it because ONE, downgrading has been patched and TWO, it's easier to just look on You must login or register to view this content. or You must login or register to view this content. for a PS3 on either OFW or CFW 3.55. Now, if you have an You must login or register to view this content., then good luck downgrading . But that is also a waste of money.
