I NEED MORE COWBELL!
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); anyone know how to fix a ps3 that is stuck in a firmware update download? it gets to 65% then stops. i bought this ps3 off craigslist for $40. i was gonna use the blu-ray drive in another ps3 but its one of the newer fat ps3 with all the wires soldered onto the board.

i tried a different hard drive but i cant even get into the safe mode menu or boot from the USB. anyone know whats up? is my system bricked?

Its a firmware brick, usually happens with wireless connections that drop under 70% during an update installation. Your ONLY option is to somehow flash the nand

maybe its just me but it doesnt look like you put it into recovery mode, you do this by holdening it down til it powers back down, then let go for a sec, then hold back down until you hear two beaps, then follow the instuctions, im not sure though im not an expert on this, you may need to flash it with a compatible version of e3 im not sure

i cant even get to the service mode. when i hold down the power button, it beeps... then beeps again... then beeps one more time then shuts off. i never get the double beep after trying it over and over.
