While the first has been confirmed to still be in the theoretical phase, and the second isn’t exactly a follow-up to any other Metal Gear game, fans of the main franchise will be happy to learn that they will eventually get their wish – a new Metal Gear game based on stealth and cunning.


Happy, but not surprised. Everyone knows that Metal Gear Solid 5 will come out someday, though Hideo Kojima’s cryptic quote only indicates that a sequel is coming sometime in the future. It’s about as cagey as a response can be, but Kojima likely needs to play this close to the chest until he has something official to announce.

now for all those haters about the new metal gear "RISING" not SOLID.

Kojima noted that the original vision for that specific game was pretty close to what Platinum Games has come up with, so hopefully that will calm some of the hardcore fans unsure about where exactly their franchise is heading.
