so i got the yellow light of death on my fat 40 gb ps3 and i'm going to buy another one soon but i'm confused on what to buy another fat or slim ??
well i'm the kind of guy that plays 10-12 hours a day i'm addicted to gaming i play every day
and i heard that the fat ps3 will get the yellow light of death sooner or later no matter what i do and i also heard that the slim ps3 won't stand alot of hours of playing and it get so hot and maybe it will get overheated so i need your opinion guys and don't forget to vote on the poll and thanks in advance !!

Ps3 Slim for sure! Its quieter and does not over heat. Very low chance in getting the Ylod.

The newer models are more eco (as they say)!
I wasn't too sure if I would adapt to the the Slim because I loved my 60GB Jap machine soo much but the slim as won me over!

they will all get ylod eventually, just the way they are made. It all depends how long you play and what it's used for. Go Ps3 Slim if you you play a lot. I'd only buy a fat if you knew 100% that it had been reballed by someone who knows how to reball. Most just do a quick reflow of the gpu and throw the fat ps3 on ebay.

personally i would buy a fat (for the chance of low firmware)also no updated hardware revisions so u can use the flashers without problems(downgrading/dumping)
if u buy a slim yes the are smaller,lighter,bigger hard drive
buy then u may get 1 of the new slim models (unhackable ps3)

as everyone says slim is going to be the better option. but phats will be cheaper, and still get the job done also it matters are you going for low firmware, or are u just getting one to play online. so overall id go with slim if you got the money, they will last longer, are faster, quieter, easy to take places, just a all around better model
