Post: Data Transfer and Restoring

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok here's my question(s), I have two ps3's ones jb and the other is on 4.00. I've been using the 4.00 to play online and now i want to mod Skyrim for fun, problem is this is the first time I've actually done this so I just wanted to know what I need to do. So I already know the receiving ps3 needs to be formatted in order to do the data transfer but how do I keep my original data from the other ps3(4.00). I'm in progress of backing it up now, but if I data transfer and restore will i have my mods and my original data or am I screwed and its one or the other?

once you restore, your mods will go away, it will place everything that was there when backed up, so ur mods will go away

ok just make sure the ethernet is plugged into both and follow these steps, i had problems til i started doing it this way. 1.power down both ps3s 2. start both up. no go to jb ps3, go to data transfer, click it til it says make sure both are hooked up with ethernet. now go to online ps3, go to data transfer, and go where it says transfer from this system or transfer from the other, now go back jb and hit ok, now go back to online ps3 and click transfer from other ps3 and follow instructions, if done right it will work for sure, i found this by far the best way. sorry if this is a little confusing, but if you follow it it will work
