(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Alright guy i think i bricked my ps3 when i turn it on its a black screen i go to that list of things when you hold down the power button but everything i press just got to a black screen w/ a line down the right side if you can help me please help!

Check you cable connections & your TV setup, if your bricked its usually due to a corrupted firmware installation, if your getting a black screen it usually means you recently changed your hdmi or av output without changing the setup on the system. Turn off your PS3 then leave your finger on the power button until you hear 1 beep & let go, wait to see if it kicks you into 480p (this setting can be picked up on AV & HDMI) if a picture pops up adjust your settings accordingly

yea but i think i bricked it b/c i was trying to spoof my fw to 4.00 but i forgot wether i was using geohots or not so i tried geohotz first and when i did it when to a black screen for a while so i just shut off my ps3 now when i turn it on its a black screen

Ooh see you didnt say you were installing a firmware bro, thats a different story lol You really gotta be careful with stuff being written to the NOR/NAND. If its a semi brick sometimes your able to recover it by getting into recovery mode & reinstalling 3.55 OFW again. If its a full brick then youll need a flasher like progskeet or E3 card reader im afraid
