Post: need help avoiding being scammed

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); so tomorrow im supposed to meet up with someone to buy his 3.55 ps3 but the thing is that im a little nervous thats what if it isnt on 3.55 and ill loose a lot of money. im supposed to meet him downtown (theres no way we can go to one's house) so i was wondering if i meet up with him is there anyway i can check the firmware?
is there things i can plug the ps3 in so i can see the firmware on the screen?
what would you guys do?

do they have a tv and power outlet "downtown" for you to test out the ps3? never buy a ps3 without being able to test it. someone could have used a heatgun to fix ylod and it could die in like 10 minutes of use. As for the firmware, if you can get it turned on under the "settings" list go to "system settings" then system information and it will tell you the firmware version. here a vid for you:

just get the guys number and address and check it when you get home if he scammed you go pwn him.

or carry your tv to downtown and pay some one to let you use their power lol
