To the best of my knowledge the "Restore File System" option deletes hidden data the PS3 stores like how many hours it has run, error codes it has gotten etc. and deletes some corrupted files.I am 95% positive it will NOT delete your games or gamesaves.

Hey mate,

The option "Restore file system" looks through all the data on the ps3 and checks for corrupt data or unusable files and deletes them .it can solve some problems if they're caused by bad files and might help - but isn't guaranteed. It doesn't delete any data except bad data and therefore none of your games Smile

Hope this helped (even though evil said it first Winky Winky)
