I don't think having Parental Settings On/Off should affect the ability of doing a System Restore. You can turn it off if you like but i don't see the need of doing so.

thanks, hey i have another question if you are able to help me Hey guys!

so i just watched a video on the e3 flasher install, and i had three questions that really keep bugging me.

So my First one is, after i have complete everything on the install video like he showed , and i successfully get the downgrade on the ps3 will i have to repeat the downgrading process every time i want to switch between a backed up game to my regular disc games or is it a one time only process, like once you do the process everything is pretty much final.

Second, will i still be able get on the psn? and play my games online?

and my last one, i have parental settings set up because i have a household of children running around. And i was wondering if once the full installation is complete with the downgrade process finished also, will I be able to set up the parental settings again, without having to worry about them being removed every time I have to do the downgrade process?(this one kind of goes with my first question) anyways thanks in advance.

Haxor!
The E3 flasher looks hard to install. I watched a tutorial and after watching the guy pretty much take apart his ps3, i decided to give the E3 flasher a miss :p im just gonna wait for a jailbreak to come out for 4.00 FW...

okay number 1 i dont think the pkg file stays i think u have to put the e3 in everytime or there may be a setting to make it stay for the downgrade part u only have to do it once other part if the parental is on go to the service menu then do it it overides it youtube the secret menu or service menu to ur back up part u need multiman to back ur games up other thing no u cant go online anymore thats why you buy 2 ps3s silly and to play ur backed up games u load it in multiman then u go to the top file not the instal pkg the other 1 then it works good luck
