(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Well, I bought the E3 flasher, and I was pretty damn happy I wasn't going to have to solder anything, but now, I regret it actually.

I ended up spending $100 on the E3 Flasher, then when I opened up my ps3, a slim CECH-2001A with a samsung NOR, it turns out the solderless soft board doesn't fit on this NOR chip. I ended up with a bricked ps3, and a useless E3 Flasher. :FU:

I installed the E3 flasher, following the instructions, and never once got the blue lights to turn on. I got the power lights, and the green switch lights to turn on. But never the blue ones. Took me around 10 opening and closing my ps3 to figure out that it wasn't going to work. And to top it all off, the E3 flasher erased my BIOS. So, I ended up buying a progskeet, and a new ps3. I am now successfully on 3.55 CFW. <3

Solderless is a scam, it doesn't "fit all nor chips" Drack So just a heads up for anyone looking for a hardware flasher.

If you noticed it didn't fit properly, why did you continue with the process? This is the first I am hearing of a clip not attaching to a nor chip on a slim model. I myself have a CECH-2001a and recently purchased an E3 Limited. I am waiting for it to arrive in the mail. Once it does, I am going to disassemble my ps3 and double check to ensure the clip fits the nor chip.

I have high hopes that it will properly fit and I didn't waste my money as this is the first I have heard of a clip not fitting properly Although, if it doesn't fit I will be sure to get the word out and contact E3 as they claim the clip fits ALL ps3 slim NOR chips

Still curious to see your reply. I have done a bit more looking into the subject of the clip not fitting.

Another user sanded down the plastic edges of the clip to make it fit properly and it worked perfectly for him.

If you still have your bricked system you can salvage it if this is the root cause.

ahh sorry to hear that mate.. I was about to buy this but decided against it because it would be better if I just buy a PS3 on 3.55 or less and use it for what i want then sell it off.. its safer this way lol
