I've been going over it in my head thinking, about how many free games i'd get a year and if it would really pay for itself technically. What do you guys think? think i should hop on that 50 dollars a year?

In some ways it's worth it and in others its not.

Only thing that sucks is when your subscription runs out and you bought games at a reduced price you have to turn around and pay the full price to play them again. But if your into reduced prices on avatars and free avatars get it.

I'd list some more positives but I don't feel like typing more then I have already.

well i have the year one and i have got more money with the games that i have paid for the 1 year.

I've had PlayStation+ since day 1. Im quite happy with the service so far I've got sports themes avatars, games, and discounts that more than made up for the bill I dropped for the service

I stopped paying for PS+ a long while ago.
It's just a bunch of useless free stuff game developers are trying to make downloads off of for publicity, but the games (mostly mini's are usually crap) aren't worth it.

As for DLC, some are worth buying, depending on which DLC comes out for which game, etc.

And for game betas (which are rare-ish), those are pretty cool. Exclusive beta downloads for online/campaign are worth it.

So, it has it's ups and downs, it's all on what kind of gamer you are.

one thing i will say about playstation plus is, if you like playing a plethora of different games, then i think + is for you. if you only play a few games and don't care about avatars or themes or anything like that, it's not for you

I got it for 3 months and wont get it after it runs out. I didn't think it was anything special. Try just a month if you can.

Having a 3 month pass for the first time. Before I never felt that I really need it but got it now with a bunch of free games (BTTF series, Simpsons Arcade). A real plus are the background updates (loading patches) and the save storage to backup some save files.

ive been woundering about it aswell even tho i get payed by my goverment every 2 weeks
