yeah its happening to me, even when I turn it on, immediately it does this, first time ever

Mainly from leaviing your ps3 on for to long of times it gets to a small degree of over-heating and causes to freeze more often.

so what turn it off for a day? i turn off my ps3 for about almost 2 hours and it got better and then I played a game for 5 minutes and then freezed

found the solution, it seems MOST OF PS3 USERS who updated to 4.10 OFW is having problems like lagging, freeze and etc.

One simple solution:
download the 4.10 OFW from the OFFICIAL PS3 SUPPORT SITE
put it in the usb
and reinstall by going to system update and via storage

Note: now your going to experience your ps3 freezeing at random points like at the start of the xmb or not even into the XMB or freezing at the update percentage like ex. 34% or 87%, if you encounter, keep restrating or shut off ps3 and turn it on and INSTALL UPDATE AGAIN, if you keep encountering freezing, KEEP DOING IT (I had to shut off my ps3 45 times, yes 45 TIMES) until you REINSTALL THE FIRMWARE, if it still happens after the REINSTALL OF FIRMWARE, do it again and again (heard some people experience this) until its been addressed

Result: No Lag, No freezing (you can leave your ps3 on for 2 days but I wouldnt but you get my point), no Anything. THIS IS PURELY F***ING SONY'S FAULT FOR PUTTING UP A BETA FIRMWARE AS CURRENT FIRMWARE (stupid ass Vita feature, thats why Sony had to updated it, in order for Vita to properly work)

yea you got the 120gb but all ps3 come with less than 1gb of ram

how and where do you have your ps3 placed like is it in a cabinet and is it laying flat or vertical because my ps3 used to overheat and freeze when i had it in my tv cabinet thingy.
