Recently a Northern California district court sided with Sony (PDF) on their TOS change requiring disputes to be resolved through arbitration, while LulzSec hacker Cody Kretsinger pleaded guilty to one count each of conspiracy and unauthorized impairment of a protected computer.

In an interesting move, the court found that the fact that you lost access to the network if you didn't agree to the new terms isn't evidence of any harm, but rather a choice."

Also from TheVerge.com on the LulzSec Sony Pictures Entertainment hacking last year, to quote: "An accused member of Anonymous offshoot LulzSec has pleaded guilty to participating in an extensive hack of Sony Pictures Entertainment in 2011.

Reuters has reported that in a deal with prosecutors, Cody Kretsinger pleaded guilty to one count each of conspiracy and unauthorized impairment of a protected computer. We still don't have any information on the deal, but it was apparently enough to get him to reverse an earlier "not guilty" plea.

Kretsinger, allegedly known as "recursion" within LulzSec, was accused last year of obtaining information from Sony and passing it along to other members. Kretsinger was the first alleged member of LulzSec to be apprehended, a list that is now significantly longer after last month's arrests."

This was going to happen sooner or later. At least justice was brought to it. Although I don't agree with Sony on everything,
it is against the law, so it's only fair.

:dumb: you forget their are rights sony is given for creating psn and their entertainment network which everything is copyrighted and by there they have every right to run it how they think it should be ran whether the stick it to the little man or not its not your choice you do not pay the billions of dollars per year to keep scea up and afloat every year you create something you spent 10 years making and have someone hack it and call you a dumbass you will be pretty pissed off and want to sue for your rights your protected by us laws
