This was good news for UK users, but not that great for other European users. Sony have now announced several other services which will be coming in other European countries.

The BBC iPlayer channel should be releasing with firmware 3.00, this will be followed shortly after by RTVE, ANTENA 3 and La Sexta in Spain, ZDFmediathek in Germany, NOS in the Netherlands NOS, and the Australian Broadcast Corporation (ABC) in Australia.

Hopefully this is better news for other European PS3 owners.

That's a brilliant idea! Incorperating BBC iPlayer with PS3 will be an obvious boost of sales Happy
