Metal Gear Solid 5 will be set in 1970s Africa, star Big Boss and - and maybe, just maybe - show the birth of baby Solid Snake, according to an in-depth investigation in the latest issue of PSM3. This is and excerpt from a 10-page feature by Metal Gear series expert Dan Dawkins.Previously, characters such as Frank Jaeger aka Cyborg Ninja and Big Boss himself have all been revealed as having links to the continent via countries like South Africa. As further evidence he provided the sample spread below.

not to sound cocky but if someone remember the old games (Metal gear for the msx released in 1987) then surely know that big boss have in South African fortress, Outer Heaven, (where solid snake comes and destroy Metal gear)

then this is not news for those huge fans of the series. :carling: but im sure a lot of ppl still dont play the old games, so...

MGS5 Will be the missin link in the series. MGS peace walker / **MGS5** / Metal gear (msx 1987)

I completely forgot about that, I sometimes get a little confused following the story and time-line of the Metal Gear series :dunce:

I hope so, that screen-shot of a dude and his (diamond) dog walking through the jungle looks sweet

you are aware that jungle picture was just a tech demo of the new fox engine from konami's pre-e3 show last year.

yea is kinda hard because kojima dont do his games in cronological order lol

but the thing is like this:

MGS3 (ps3)
MGS PORTABLE OPS (PSP)
MGS PEACE WALKER (PSP)
**MGS5** (PS3)
**HERE MAYBE ANOTHER GAME***
MG (MSX 1987)
MG2: solid snake (MSX 1990)
MGS (PSOne)
MGS2 (PS2)
MGS4 (ps3)

so, yea i understand why some ppl gets lost in the time line story of the series...

yea i remember those dogs in the MSX games was a pain in the ass of snake  even if you kill them, they respawn very quick LMAO
