I am completly new to this re marry business. and not great with computers either !!

I have a 40gb Ps3 with no blu ray drive or logic board. I also have a 60gb, with ylod.

Can i put the blu ray from the 60 into the 40 ?

I have been reading threads here and realise you need to remarry the logic board to the motherboard.

My ps is currently running v.4.11.

Firstly, how do I downgrade to the required 3. something or other....??? I need to get into factory service mode.. exactly how ??

Then use some kind of program on a usb to me marry the logic to the motherboard.

Any kind of exact tutorial on how and where to get this stuff would be greatly appreciated !! I am good with the mechanical stuff just not the computer stuff !!

Hopefully there is some expert out there with a spare 10 minutes or so to explain this to me...
