This thread is about downgrading my PS3, atm, i am version 4.11 and i want to downgrade to a suitable firmware for making challenge lobbies on cod4/5.

The firmware i need is 3.55.

I do not know if bricking my PS3 is the only option, if there is another option please post it below!

Also, if bricking is the only way, is there a method that is 99-100% working? [By this i mean i dont want to brick my PS3 then it breaks!]

If any of you know a way to downgrade PS3 firmware or even brick it safely.

Unless you mean another word... (I hope at least)

With the firmwares after 3.55 the only way to safely downgrade your PS3 is by using an E3 flasher or Progskeet.




Before firmware 3.56 came out there were proven methods of downgrading by forcing a brick on your console and then running the lvl2diag file to downgrade so they probably have been out of the loop for awhile and didn't know about Sony's new downgrade security measures.

You would need to flash your ps3 but you would need another ps3 to do cls

E3 flasher no work, buy it and just lost my 3.55 when trying to do what he says in his videotutrial bug me."Correct Hard Disk Not Found" :lol:

lol bricking will get you know were there are way to unbrick tho that work 100% now as i got mine fixed but u need a progskeet and another ps3 to unbrick

You are the only person that I have heard say that the E3 doesn't work...... You most likely did something wrong.
