(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); This thread is to explain why you are getting rebooted to the PS3 or others problems to your PS3.

Problem reasons:

Whenever a game loads from the HDD and you press the PS button it stops the loading on games because of the in-game XMB. Don't press it when a game loads from the HDD or saves.

If you do press it: Something MAY happen to your PS3 like rebooted to the XMB at some point in the game because the game didn't load all of the game data or saved it. <- Most reasonable reason.

But if its loading something SERIOUS from your PS3's Harddrive it MAY get corrupted resulting sometimes in a bricked PS3.
___

WHY:
You know how some games says don't disconnect your controller or turn off your PS3 or access the quit game menu and I accidentally did that once on my PS2 resulting in a non-working PS2 Memory Card.

Well going to the in-game XMB is like disconnecting your controller or accessing the quit game menu because they all stop the loading or saving of games. Once you open the in-game XMB while something is saving or loading from the harddrive.

How to prevent it:

Don't press the PS button to access the in-game XMB once anything loads from the HDD (Hard Drive Disk) or saves to the HDD.
