ok mate i had same problem and i know the fix,i bought a geohot 3.55 and when i turned it on this error came up what you need to do is open the harddrive thing up then slide it along abit.it more than likely got moved during the transprtation, then turn it on and it shud e good to go please comment back wether it worked or not ;P or add me on skype if you have it rohan.h-96 ill show you what may have happened

IDR, but i do remember, i went to recovery mode, cause i bricked my ps3, and the recovery mode didnt do anything

what did it not show or was it getting stuck wen updating?

well for me i cant even get to recovery mode, i do everything right but it goes to hard drive not found and stuff but it is frozen...

Same happened to me,
followed the video then it told me i had a corrupt HD
Then i "restored ps3 system" and it works fine.(im using an e3 but)

Well that sucks hopefully you get this fixed in a decent amount of time.
