Sony and NCsoft announced at E3 2007 an exclusive deal. For all those people that are still a little bit hazy, this is what Joystiq reported two years ago:
During Sony’s E3 2007 keynote, President and CEO Jack Tretton announced a new partnership with developer NCSoft, creators of online titles like Lineage, Guild Wars, and City of Heroes. As part of the partnership, NCSoft will begin developing exclusive online titles for the Playstation 3 and its Playstation Network.
This exclusivity can apply to both new and current IPs, although no specific games were mentioned. “Only the Playstation Network can support the types of games that NCSoft has become famous for” says Tretton. At the moment, it is unknown whether NCSoft will continue to support other platforms.
Two years down the road and still no sign of this so called ‘exclusive’ deal. That makes you wonder, will the PS3 ever see signs of upcoming titles like Aion? Is this a pattern that seems to be going on?

There are a lot of MMO’s coming to Sony’s flagship console but we never got to play one. Even free MMO ‘Free Realms’ is delayed. Can we even still talk about a ‘deal’ since all the news around these MMO’s is dead. We’re going to keep you updated as soon as we find out more.
