Slow ps3 XMB and game loading times problem

I have this huge problem,whenever i start my i get a message saying problem loading firmware press PS button to restart or something like that.When i press the button the ps3 restarts and it goes to the XMB but ps3 the XMB takes forever to laod and when i start a game the loading times are ridiculously slow I have tried to restore file system and rebuild but no luck please help if you can :cry:

Do you have a slim model or the original model?

Have you tried removing all your messages ?
Sounds like a HDD issue if had a take a guess i dont know if worth saying reformatt the HDD. Your going to need a USB with the FW on it.

The problem is i dont have a 320GB extrnal Hard drive or even one at all i just have a 8GB and 4GB memory stick.I cant format the HDD my brother wont let me and he is way older tahn me
