(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i got a old 40gb 3.55 mother board wont boot up green light but no picture or sound but has a scuff on the mother board do u recon this is the resion here is a pic

Wouldn't know about the motherboard, but have you tried holding the ON button when you boot till you hear it beep the second time? Just in case you haven't.

Also, have you tried giving it a kiss? Might help.

I also think you need the matching daughter board as well. I remember hearing/reading that you had to take the board from the bottom of blu ray drive also while swapping boards.

ive only just noteist this but soon as u turn it on u can turn it off i turn it on and i cant do nothing else like i hold down the button to turn it off and it dont do nothing not evan a beep

Tranquility.
That's not a "scuff", that's more of a large scratch. Looks like a chunk is taken out and it looks like some black crap is on the motherboard. I'd say it's done for.
