In the first Final Fantasy 13 you play as a group of characters whose mission is to save Cocoon. Final Fantasy 13 was first released for PS3 on March 9, 2010. After that Final Fantasy 13-2 was released on January 31, 2012 and in that you played as Serah and Noel who go on a mission to find Lightning. Well today Square Enix announced another sequel to Final Fantasy 13 this time it stars Lightning in her final mission. The Final Fantasy 13 Lightning Saga is set to release for PS3 sometime in 2013.

Today at a press conference Square Enix announced a third and final part to Final Fantasy 13 that will star only Lightning in her final mission. She will be a solo and only playable character that will be able to roam a new world. In the this sequel the game will take place a hundred years after the events of Final Fantasy 13-2. The game is set in a new world called Novus Partus which is a chain of four islands that are connected by a monorail. Maybe we'll be able to tame monsters again? if yes, then it's fine by me.

Anyway, I can't wait for this sequel, FF XIII-2 paradox ending left me with some doubts.
