From what I read you get $150.00 towards a 120 gig slim by trading in your original ps3 or $50.00 if you trade a PS2 towards it. Meaning you'd still owe $150.00 on the slim because the slim is $299.00 not $200.00, well in my state anyway not sure about yours but I don't see how prices of the console would differ in any case.

I think that means that you get $150 towards it, and it costs $299, so you get it for $150 (rip-off).
