The figures collected and survey data has suggested to Sony that it is indeed a successful and could see a positive future. Get the facts after the jump.

Jack Buser, senior director of PlayStation Digital Platforms speaking to You must login or register to view this content., said that "we are extremely proud of the number," but wouldn't reveal just how many people subscribe to Playstation Plus. "We don't share that number."

• 13 million: The number of hours of play-time that games in Plus' Instant Game Collection (the batch of free games offered to Plus subscribers) in the two months after the IGC was launched in early June.
  
• 12 million: The number of Trophies players unlocked in Instant Game Collection games in those two months.
  
• 93%: The percentage of players who intend to renew the service, according to a Sony survey (as long you renew Plus, you keep access to the games in the IGC; if you cancel, you lose access).
  
• 97%: the percentage of Plus users who tell Sony's survey-takers that they're extremely happy with the survey (ticking one of the top two boxes, or options, when answering how happy they are with the service). Sony says this is up 50% over a prior survey, from presumably before the IGC began.

In other related news, Playstation Plus will be available for the Playstation Vita later this year, at no added cost for current subscribers.

PS Plus is awesome to have

Ps plus saved my butt with online storage more than once, plus they give a actual decent game for free every so many months

I've had PS+ since the day it was released, I really enjoy the exclusives it has, cloud storage, and all the free stuff you get with it. Also, I renew my subscription every year on Christmas day. :p

18 dollars every three months. And now they are having preorder discounts for retail release games.

Y'all can do the research yourselves, but in end if you're a "Main Ps3 Gamer". Purchasing PS+ should come with no second thoughts.

PS+ saves you a bomb on the retail games that you would probably buy anyway, I mean in the last 2 months alone on the EU store:

You really cannot complain for what you're paying especially when you take into account the discounts on games and dlc, free psn games, full game trials, exclusive themes, avatars etc.

When you buy a lot and you're an active user it saves about 20 pounds per 17 games. Also its a shiny sign about your name. But otherwise. All those instant games have already been bought and its a sort of a waste of money. But. I subscribed for a year. Because having discounts is good.

I got ps+ since first day, untill now i have spend only 100€ for it (have to renew next month though) and i got games n stuff free for about 1500€ i guess, so in my eyes its totally worth the buy.

And looking forward for ps+ for vita, good news
