(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello NGU as the title states i have 3 playstations-
1 YLOD 4.20, 1 black screen of nothing but is on 3.55, and one working one 4.25.

I was planning on hosting and such with my 3.55 and just switch parts.
But the problem is that i do not know if the video card(or whatever is making it show up with nothing) is changeable/fixable.

Basically: is the piece causing no screen attached to the motherboard? is it changeable if not connected? is there a way to get the firmware on to my other ps3(s)?

I have tried: changing hard drives with the 4.25 and 3.55 to no avail and now it says both need to be 4.25 when inserted into the 4.25 ps3.

I have now tried: opening the 3.55 to see what is happening and nothing is really wrong with it.

Are you high?
if you want your ylod 4.20 fix you have to reball it as for the other 1 idk how to fix that because it never happened to me.

First off make sure its not your tv, If the res is not set right it will appear black. Ive had tvs where the res on the ps3 is set too high and it glitched out and would let me change it unless i hooked it back up to a high res tv. Normally it should automatically change if the res is not supported (i think). If it isnt that then im not sure, you could always take it somewhere and see if they can identify the problem if you cannot.

TRY safe mode it worked for me before goodluck !!!!!

When to Use Safe Mode

Execute safe mode when the PS3™ is experiencing the following symptoms:
When the PS3™ system is started up, the XMB™ menu is not displayed (only the wave screen background appears)
When the PS3™ system is started up, nothing appears on the screen
When the PS3™ system is started up, a message stating is displayed > > Restore operation > Restart
Original message is displayed again or the system stops during restoration.
When the PS3™ system is started up, a message stating is displayed > > Rebuild > Failure > System stops while formatting hard disk drive.
The system stops while restarting after a PS3™ system update or while updating or rebuilding the database. The situation does not improve even when the system is restarted.

Activating Safe Mode

Step 1: Turn off the PLAYSTATION 3 by holding the Power button on the front of the unit till the Power light is red.

Step 2:
Touch and hold the Power button, you will hear the first beep, meaning the PLAYSTATION 3 is powering on.
Continue to hold the Power button and after about 5 seconds, you will hear a second beep, indicating the video reset.
Continue to hold the Power button and after about another 5 seconds you will hear a third beep and the system will power off (Power light is red).

Step 3:
Touch and hold the Power button, you will hear the first beep, again for the PLAYSTATION 3 to power on.
Continue to hold the Power button and after about 5 seconds, you will hear a second beep for video reset.
Continue to hold the Power button and after about another 5 seconds you will hear a quick double beep. At that point release the Power button. If you succeeded in activating Safe Mode, you will see a message on the screen saying, "Connect the controller using a USB cable and then press the PS button."

THEN wen in safe mode try to rejailbrake it click on update ps3 and put the jailbrake on the ps3 and just rejailbrake it if it dont work then good luck trying to find another fix
