they probably have their own trophy system and its probably only trophies earned for ps4. i dunno, just guessing

Ofcourse we can transfer them. We can use the same account as on the PS3.
There is no doubt about that. Sony wouldn't do that to us.

For a start you might be think a wee bit into the future seeing as sony have said they will keep the ps3 until atleast 2015

I think we will be able to transfer our content to the PS4, and also use the same accounts, along with Vita and PS3 trophies. But, it's still too soon

IMO, what Sony needs to do is update their firmware to be more customizable...like hide/unhide trophy lists, a 'ping' to alert you if a friend is online, and select what friends you want to be notified by for starters. I hope they do a great update for the PS3 and not wait for the PS4 to come out. My 0.02 cents.

im positive ps4 will have trophies, only question is if ps3 trophies can transfer over

i think it will all stay with your PSN account once you signed in on PS4 you should have all you trophies and friends.
