(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I went to university starting October 1st and didnt have my PS3, i finally get it back last weekend, i hook it up and works fine, i then spend the weekend with my mum and dad, i come back sunday night and now my PS3 wont display, so i though maybe the HDMI cable went, so i get a new one, still nothing

My TV has 3 HDMI slots so i tried all of them.
Lucky a guy in my class had a PS3 AV cable and that worked fine.

So ive tried every other possible thing and the only conclusion is that my PS3 HDMI port is broken.

The only thing i havent tried is my PS3 on another HD TV

P.s. my tv shows its recieving signal as i can change it from 720P to 1080P and that shows up on the TV, but it wont display an image.

P.p.s. i have triedd the 3 beeps etc, taking out the hard drive, everything possible.

So do you think my PS3 HDMI port is broken then or not?

Have you tried to reset the display settings if you have don't know what to say.
You could you could try to display setting with your AV cables with your hdmi connected, and set your display setting to HDMI and quickly switch to the HDMI input.

Best to try another TV / display just to be sure, it could be the TV?

Start your ps3 with a hard video reset (turn on with finger until you hear the beep after the initial beep) make sure both cables are plugged in at same time. AV and HDMI.

Set the channel to HDMI while doing this. Wait for about 30 seconds after the beep to see if it shows anything. If it doesn't then switch to AV. If on AV it says an HDMI cable has been connected, even though it didn't show... the HDMI controller chip on the motherboard is bad. If it boots straight to AV and doesn't recognize hdmi was there. Then either the port is physically broken or any number of small components on the MB relating to the hdmi pathway could be bad.

I fix these issues on a daily basis at work. Smile
