My current blu ray drive does not read discs, I have tried cleaning the laser but had no luck.

The blu ray drive I currently have has its logic board connected inside the blu ray drive itself, if I buy a new drive (same model etc) but it has the logic board connectors underneath would it still work and fit?

Sorry if that was a bit confusing.
