From what I hear, the Hauppauge is pretty good, a lot of people use them, and haven't heard one complaint yet!

AVERMEDIA game capture HD you dont need a computer as it records directly to a usb/hardrive connected to it

Hauppauge by far is the best, my friend has one and i helped him set it up, super easy and simple to use, also looks sleek and awesome

I have the Roxio Game Cap HD PRO works fine for me.

I'm getting the Elgato, it's roughly the same amount as the HD PVR, but it records straight to 720p instead of having to be rendered

I have a HD PVR 2 Gaming Edition, I would seriously recommend either that or an Elgato Game Capture.
