I'm currently running 4.21 rebug rex on my 60gb model ps3 still running since 2006 lol however my blu ray drive just died on me ( laser move for a second and disc won't spin.) i was curious to see if there is anyway to play the games saved in the GAMES folder with out the need of a disc? sorry in advance if this been asked already.

I don't believe you can. Most backups require you to do a mem patch which obviously requires a disc. However I'm sure you can find working bd-drives on ebay. They should be relatively inexpensive however only God knows. People are greedy and will probably charge a ton or have high ass reserve.
