(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); trying to upgrade my hard drive to 1tb.

Full formatted to Fat32. Every time in PS3 formatting it stops and gives me that error saying this quote/message

"An error occurred during the format operation.(8002F271)"

Any help or tips that could help?

I changed my HDD on my slim PS3 like 3 weeks ago. I upgraded it to 1tb also as the OP is trying to do.

To the OP, I would try taking the HDD back to where you bought it from. If that doesn't help I would call Sony and explain the situation to them and give them the error code. Also trying downloading the latest firmware and updating it via USB via the recovery menu.

You are incorrect. You can still upgrade your HDD if you wish. There is nothing wrong with a little hardware upgrade. Sony will never stop allowing this.
