the same thing happened to me...the drive got damaged...i had to get it serviced but it was free...contact sony and make sure u have a proof of purchace (ex. receipt) so its free...ur gonna have to send it out and it will come back in like 2-3 weeks depending on the condition...ur gonna get everything u need (ie. box, form, shipping/mailing address) a couple of days after you call sony...hope this helped
