(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Alright here is what happened:

Had my PS3 on then i shut it off from the back, then turned it back on because i forgot to take the disc out so i turned it on, took the disc out and then shut it off by the back again. About an hour later i turn it on and it seems to sit there making barely any noise and not showing anything on the tv screen. I use the HDMI cable, i tested it with the normal AV one and it still didn't work. I also tried it on another TV and it still did not work. I really don't know what happened but any help or tips would be appreciated, thanks.

Does it have a yellow line when you turn it on?

nonono i know what to do this JUST happened to my friend
if you turn it on from the back (when theres the red light) hold the power on (on the front) untill you hear a beep
do this 10 times and it will fix itself
this fixes either a fan problem or a harddrive corruption
CAUTION: you may lose some of your saves! you also have to sign back up for psn, but you can use ur other account by useing an existing account
this happens because the resets make the ps3 do a system restoration
hope this helped Smile

have you tried to reset to the default factory settings? To do this you turn on your PS3 and hold the power button for about 3-5 seconds. It'll beep and then reset. you keep holding the power button on the front the entire time.

If you don't have any blinking lights then that's good news.

It's not really wise to turn it off from the back according to the manual, you should really leave it on stand by plus you risk corupting game files if you turn it of straight from behind. The way to turn it of at the back is to put it into standby first.
