Advanced mode isnt available for all games, ones which have multiplayer online (competitive in every way) advanced mode is disabled

Moved to correct section. Also, not just games with multiplayer have Advanced Mode disabled, although that's generally true. A number of single player only games are Quick Mode Only, plus some games with strong online components do have Advanced Mode or have had it at some point.
