Psdevwiki is a great resource and will give you unbiased information

I typically look for the highest firmware that I would be willing to accept from this page and research it from there

4.55 is the highest publicly exploitable firmware to date so we'll use that as an example

If you follow the link you'll see the date this firmware was released and you'll know any bundle released up to that date is safe - albeit there will be a handful between the 4.55 update and the next firmware but anything before 11 April 2017 will be on 4.55 or probably lower
Now if you go to this wikipedia page
You must login or register to view this content.
And go to the "Model Comparison" drop down you can find all the bundles when they were released and you can verify the date of firmware to the one we found earlier
You should notice that there are 2 pro bundles that are included in the acceptable date/firmware range that should be safe for purchase
Armed with this information you could buy a bundle from any online website but just verify the timelines and everything else lines up - if you can verify the info with the seller and request a return if it isn't as described in the sale agreement
In my case I went to eBay and bought a 1.76 for $240 back when 1.76 was the only option and the consoles were selling for +$300 - also I did not get a bundle but a sealed console to save even more money
Best of luck in your search - always be an educated consumer and never be stupid - if it seems too good to be true.. then ask for a lower price lol.. or just move on because you know it's probably a waste of time!
