Yes, via Gaikai (streaming network). PS3 discs? Nope.

I would say yes it would be able to because at time ps3 came out it could read some ps2 discs. So if i remenber right the same lazer they using as in blueray tech so its not doing anything new like ps3 was dvd and ps3 was blueray

its not just down to the bluray laser reading it, its never that simple. the way the ps4 has been built to handle data is different to the ps3 so why would it read someting that isnt compatible!?

they have said it wont, so it wont. they arent going to change their mind. the only way will be to stream it which could mean repurchasing it again.

why have a next gen console if you stuck in last gen. keep your last gen console for that.

To be honest i dont feel that this "Next gen" is much different from the last one. Feels like its only about a year or two apart...

Of course the focus on gaming has changed.. (AGAIN). So i suppose it could be called a different generation of games no?

How many times has this been said? PHYSICAL DISKS NO. They will be uploading EVERY PS1 TO PS3 game into Gaikai Network.

I think it would carry on since we don't want to restart by getting the trophy's again...
