If they are only announcing the PS4 in Brazil now, it mustn't be a standard all around international release.

They must be trying to involve more Latin America in the Market. Think that the 1st of April they included Argentina and Chile to the Store. Ecuador and Paraguay are also in the process of doing, so I believe it is that, getting more involved in the Latin America Market, as we are not always taken into account as US and Europe are, considering that we have great quantity of gamers.

OK of course i don't have a marketing degree but who on the planet in today's gaming world didn't hear that the ps4 is coming? if this conference is just as you guys are thinking it is then "IMO" Sony is wasting the opportunity to keep the media, including "social" media, buzzing with ps4 news. yes people are still talking about it just as we are right now, but that's going to change come May 21.
Microsoft is officially announcing the entry of the next Xbox into the console war just 3 weeks before E3. as we have read in past articles the ps4 was intentionally designed with UK and USA in mind dealing with social media and such, but Microsoft holds the American market right now.
once the new Xbox is announced, that's all that is going to be talked about in the English speaking world. its going to slow the PS4 train way down if the current rumors surrounding Xbox turns out not to be true. Microsoft has the money to flood the mainstream media/market with mounds of money in-turn lots of press coverage. hell we even get to watch the announcement on live TV. Xbox will ride the press wave straight through the E3 conference.
Sony needs to keep the current pace they are on, "in my eyes they have already slowed down" but don't let momentum shift out into Microsoft's favor. allowing Xbox to get all the coverage from when they announce to E3 isn't good for Sony's marketing strategy for NA/UK market.
the conference in Brazil should be used to show more of what the ps4 can do. not to say we are going to be more friendly to Latin American market and bring you the ps4 also. "any smart business would already be catering to the Latin American market" i don't know wtf took Sony so long to open the market to them in the first damn place. so many of my psn friends are Latin American.
Sony needs to still be talked about before E3. just because they announced way back in February doesn't mean its going to keep the momentum and provide sales come launch time.

before anyone jumps on me for anything i said, please know that this is just my personal opinion and or thoughts about Sony's conference. i just think it would be a waste of resources and possibly good media coverage not to do anything worthy of "world" media coverage. im really hoping for more show casing of the ps4, lets see it. or at least do something or announce something about it we don't know about yet. show and talk about something more than just the damn controller.

hopefully in this event held by Sony they release a crap load of info, but if they do, i bet they will keep some stuff a secret till you buy it, or when it is released to the public

I hope its announced in Spanish. Portuguese is the national language of Brazil. I'd love to see the audience reaction. lolz
