Whilst not all of Sony’s marketing campaigns have hit the spot, of late they’ve been pretty good. A rumour tonight suggests that their latest – for the PlayStation 4 – is about as on target as it can get, even if it’s unlikely to be the finished article.

“Who are you not to be great?” says a man alone on an empty road, apparently. “You, with the imagination of a brilliant child and the powers of an ancient god. Who are you to be ordinary? You, who could get away with murder, or raise the dead…”

Let’s be clear that at the moment this is nothing more than a rumour, even given SiliconEra’s trusted source and previous track record. Even if it’s half true, it’s early days. But there’s potential here, at least, and it’s good to see Sony being bold again.
This is entirely likely to be just the US angle, of course.
TheSixthAxis expects Sony to unveil the PlayStation 4 console during their pre-E3 conference on June 10th. We’ll be there in force, and are looking forward to seeing where this all goes…
