I wouldnt see why you couldnt use it. Reminder that the ps4 will have recording capabilities. Im considering selling my hdpvr but I can also use it to record tv

The PS4 is going to have a recording feature with the share button on the controller as far as I know.

Why would you need an HDPVR? Might as well sell it before it's too late if PS4 is the only thing you are willing to record.

I wouldn't sell the HD PVR, the PS4 might have a time limitation on recording. But that's just speculation.

I doubt it, The PS4 may only come with an HDMI output. No component;no composite. But who knows?

Recording will be in 720p most likely.

I think yes, as long as its connected in between the devices, you are still able to capture signal. BTW, just bough W905 tv from sony (7ms input lag!!!!) and its got recording built in! All you need is a USB hard drive plugged in on the side and it will record whatever you want. Still need to buy another external HD to test the quality of recordings. Hoping for full HD 1080p, then who need PVR afterwards.

Oh no, just realised it could only work for built in freeview tuner.
