UK is not the only place m8 here in australia we pay to much as well I think the US get's all the stuff at the right price

i remember paying £50 for ps3 games when the console first came out, it takes a few months or weeks for a dev/publisher to release at a lower cost then they all jump on the band wagon

PS3 games were around £50 when it was first released, but Play.com most of the time have games cheaper than anywhere else especially on new titles.

From my understanding it is VAT (20% sales tax), higher cost of living and on occasion customs fees.

I am also under the impression that most of these companies are working for the American dollar and have to consider the play in the market. For example, dollars on the pound. If the British pound was to fall below the value of a dollar those companies would essentially earn less in exchanges.
