Gamescom is an European equivalent of E3 and Sony has always treated it with equal respect. Plenty of new games for PS3 were revealed at the event and it looks like the same thing will happen for the PS4.

Sony revealed a new IP The Order 1886 and we’ve been wondering what their other first-party studios like Guerrilla Games, Naughty Dog, Media Molecule etc. are doing. Well, it looks like we will finally know the answer to that at Gamescom.

SCEE’s Jim Ryan said in an interview that the company will be announcing more games for PS4 at the show. He also confirmed that the PS4 will be launching in Europe before Christmas 2013.

“30 new PS4 first-party games are in development and 12 of them are new IP’s,” he said. “There’s a lot going on, we need to keep stuff back. There’s Gamescom and we need to have something to show at Gamescom, don’t we?”

This is great news as there have been plenty of rumours that Sony is going all out when it comes to internal software support for the PS4 and hopefully we will see terrific games at the show.

Gamescom runs from August 21-25. Only 2 months away!! Sony still has a lot of exclusives to reveal. Uncharted 4 anyone?

I know they won't show either of them, but Uncharted 4 and LittleBigPlanet 3

I want to see what Naughty Dog are doing with PS4 but i know we will have ti wait till E3 Next year :Fa:

Yes we need to hear from Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica etc.

Apparently The Last of Us 2 & 3 have already been registered so we can expect to see that some time in the future on PS4.

i'll bet on Uncharted 4 and a new God of war, with incredible graphics and awesome gameplay

Sony do have something up their sleeve.... watch this space
