Post: Who's excited for next gen and why are you excited?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Me, I always get excited for next gen. I have been playing video games since the Atari2600. Every time I hear about new video game systems on the horizon I get excited about what the next video game system is going to be able to do that my current video game system can't. It used to be all about the bits (8,16,24,32,64). Now it's more complex like how much ram does the system have, how much more powerful is the CPU & GPU, etc... What I'm really excited for is next gen games like Fallout 4. I have always loved all of Bethesda's games and now it will be interesting to see how smart the people are in the games, how many bugs and glitches that there will be (they say that the PS4 is super easy to develop for), how real the people and animals move and act, etc... I want it to feel as real as possible when I play Fallout 4 or any game that's similar.

I think that some games won't change too much like puzzle or platformer games. Although with the new PS4 controller as well as being able to use the PSVita as a controller you never know. I still like to play retro and indie games every now and then but most of the time I like to play games that blow my mind. Some games that I think will have the potential to blow my mind are Fallout 4, Farcry 4, The Elder Scrolls VI, GTA VI, and Uncharted 4.

It would be cool if they made a Chuck Norris game for the PS4 that takes full advantage of it.

Frankly I'm not as excited as I was for the Ps3 release. Considering that consoles are now literally just PC components in a box, I am more excited for the next few years of CPU and GPU improvements both on the software and hardware side of things from both Intel and AMD. Don't get me wrong, I am definitely excited for these upcoming consoles, but not as much as other people probably are. I am looking forward for mainly GTA and the next Elder Scrolls game (hopefully this will be 3x as long as Skyrim was, seriously Skyrim was too short. Maybe make it as long as Oblivion or even longer. Yes I really like long epic games). BF4 also has my attention too, which I will obviously getting on the PC.

Same here, I'm going to hold off buying GTA V on ps3 in hopes they do eventually release it for ps4. Unless the ps3 and ps4 versions have different content that makes them unique then I need to buy both lol. Main thing I look forward to is a new UI with better performance and I hope I can only hope lol that there is something similar to Xbox live membership sharing. Upto 4 sub accounts I believe. I don't want to buy it if my brother has already got it on his account.

Why?
Because atleast for me, games run at such low FPS on my PS3 from 2007, with lag spikes here and there and just
overall not smooth gameplay. Might be because my PS3 is so old, but still, I'd love Battlefield 4 at a constant 60 fps Smile

I hope that all PS4 games run at least 60 FPS as well as have a minimum resolution of 1080P. That would be real shitty of Sony to let games with only 30 FPS and only 720P be released on their system. At least the PS4 only comes with an HDMI cable which is great. I'm sick and tired of always getting a low res composite packed with my video game system. Who the hell uses those old red/white/yellow cables anyways. I was using an HD component cable with the original Xbox on day one. HD 1080P has been around for a very long time.

Either of the Next Gen Consoles will get me excited to see what kind of experience we will get in gaming.
Honestly, Playstation 4 have won this console war 100% and i've managed to get all my friends from school to pre-order the Playstation 4 and anyone who tried to tell me the Xbox One is better, always lose against me Awesome face
But, I can't wait to play games like FIFA 14 because apparently on the New Generation of Consoles FIFA is completely different than on the current gen, so FIFA 14 on PS3 is so different to FIFA 14 PS4. Also, the PS4 has the EA Ignite Engine which is why it's better.
My game line up is;
Call of Duty : Ghost, FIFA 14, GTA V & Battlefield 4 Smile

I wonder if there will be an Oculus Rift for PS4? Winky Winky
