The next generation of consoles is really close now, as PlayStation 4 will be releasing on 15th November in North America and 29th November in Europe, while Xbox One will hit stores on 22th November in both (although they will launch in far less countries than PS4 this year).
Obviously, the discussion on which one is better is heating up. PlayStation 4 has been deemed more powerful since the early leaks, but exactly how much has been a topic of discussion amongst enthusiasts, especially since Microsoft slightly overclocked both CPU and GPU in an attempt to close the gap. Well, thanks to the hawks at Neogaf we have spotted another opinion on the matter – and a pretty important one.
Adrian Chmielarz, former Creative Director at People Can Fly for games like Painkiller, Bulletstorm and Gears of War: Judgment, voiced it over Twitter:

Thats quite a difference there, wow 50% is alot 1.5x faster
Impressive, although PS4 will presumably will be faster than XBox 1, im simply getting it because of what it offers, the games, price etc but its great to know it fast since it will undoubtedly be able to handle those heavy GPU reliable games.

Despite the studio closing, the man who leads planning for the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Kinect isn’t aware of the developer that created a high-profile exclusive released in 2013 itself? Regardless of your thoughts on the PS4 versus Xbox One hardware, it’s hard to deny how strange that statement must be.

By sofware he means primarly Games..
and in deed Xbox leeds a little concerning Launch titles, but since the next generation will last for at least 7years and Sony has a bunch of exclusives being worked on I think PS4 will take the whole lead in 2014

Software = games :p
I don't think it's a terrible job both consoles are going for a tablet based UI. Who focus is on tabs/tables of options along with consistent look of windows 8.
If you take a close look at both your see they very similar in terms of design. PS4 UI is very close to the vita along with other Sony UIs.

Very close to each other.
Design wise we been moving towards this look for some time alot of content cut up into tabs. Windows 8 is not the only OS to do this style, I dislike the amount of straight edges. Guessing if you don't like Green you're going to hate the xbox dash.
Games not overall power is going to decide the race remember the Wii was the weaker console and out sold both the PS3/Xbox 360 in total sales.
