According to reports from China, a group of Engineering students were forced to work on the assembly line manufacturing the PlayStation 4, in order to receive course credits and graduate.

PlayStation 4 supplier Foxconn had as many as 1,000 engineering interns working for them, but they forced the students to do manual labor in assembly and packaging the PlayStation 4, in order to get the credits needed to graduate. The type of work had no relation to their field of study, and it looks like Foxconn were just looking for some quick and free labor.

Sony has distanced themselves from the situation, saying that they expect Foxconn and other suppliers to comply with the “Sony Supplier Code of Conduct”, a policy established in 2005 by Sony. Foxconn makes products for many consumer electronics companies — they also manufacture the Wii U and the upcoming Xbox One.

That's kind of messed up. I think forced manual labor is seriously fucked up. I mean I knpw they are doing it for school but doong something that's not even their field of study is even worse. But I guess that's what the world is likd today. Everyone looking for cheap labor.

And then students won't even get credits and graduate, nothing at all. Maybe the worst part is they have to pay for their room even though they don't live in those rooms. You see why the PS4/Xbox One cost 400/500$, because they don't get shit.
