I have turtle beach PX21 headphones and after doing some research have found they wont work on the PS4. But the only way i found to get them to work is with the DSS2 from turtle beach, so am now happy. Thought this would help people wondering the same as me video below of setup.

So where are you gonna plug the red and white into on ps4 without DSS2.
The controller has 3.5mm jack on it which i believe was confirmed to be able to output game audio. Thus you can plug the green audio cord from the px21 headset directly into the controller and it may work

Recently purchased a pair of Tritton Pro+s so I am hoping they are compatible with either the PS4 or Xbox One.
If not, I'm sure the company will make some sort of additional add-on so that the headset will work.
The DSS2 will make your headphones 5.1 surround sound i just got a DDS2 boxed new from ebay You must login or register to view this content. for £34 + £3 p+p so very happy and i know for sue my headphones will definitely work.
If your TV or monitor has a headphone socket you can plug the green jack plug on the headset into that and change the PS3 settings so that the game audio goes through the HDMI cable then you should be able to hear the game sound as well as hearing the voice chat through the USB on the PS4.
