A simple video demonstration how to access the Playstation 4 (PS4) hard drive (HDD). After opening it up you are free to upgrade to a larger drive for more games or you can swap it out for an Solid State Drive (SSD) for an even faster experience!

i have not taken mine apart , but by the video it would clearly fit a 15mm drive with very little fuss.

SSD's are still very expensive compared to Hard Disc Drives, this is the cheapest I found: You must login or register to view this content.

I expect to cost of them to go down by the time they become more necessary. The only benefit right now is faster loading time (shave off a few seconds on load screens and boot up) but you would not see much difference in graphics. If you really want an SSD but price is a factor you might want to look into Hybrid Drives which contain some solid state storage for commonly used files and hard disc storage for other bulky files (movies, games, etc).
