(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); PS4 is responsible for 10 per cent of all Twitch streaming done since its North American launch on November 15.

That's according to a range of new stats released by Sony on the EU PS Blog, which details how much success the console's new social-sharing features have enjoyed.

Over 20 million minutes of PS4 footage have been streamed since the console's US launch on Twitch and Ustream. That's almost 38 years' worth of gameplay recorded and shown in under a month. This breaks down into more than 800,000 gameplay broadcasts and 7.1 million spectate sessions.

Additional stats include the fact that the average PS4 broadcast length on Ustream is 31 minutes, while Twitch has announced that 10 per cent of content broadcast on the platform since November 15 has come from PS4 systems. The console's Share Menu has also been access over 10.9 million times since launch, in case you were wondering.

SCE Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida said, "PlayStation 4 is specifically designed so people can share their gaming experiences and interest in streaming live gameplay has surpassed our wildest expectations."

Microsoft's Xbox One is also set to get access to live broadcasting via Twitch, though it won't be available before 2014. Whether the amount of content shared will surpass Sony's remains to be seen.

Apart from the occasional walkthrough for collectables/trophies, or when trying to decide if a game is worth buying, I've not really used any of the streaming services.

Really interesting to see how much it's used though, I'd guess the ease of doing it has something to do with that. Will be more interesting to see how that changes over time.

If the graphics were better, such as true high quality streaming video feeds, I'd use it more. I have the best ISP in my area which range from 50 MB/s in download speed and about 2-3 MB/s in upload speed, and the quality is still shit.

I love streaming.

Just wish I could stream it in full 1080p or even 720p. I have amazing internet with can cope with it, just Twitch and/or the PS4 can't do that.

People livestream in Playroom which makes it fancy. I just wish that Twitch adds a feature where you can livestream of your crib and such without the need to play the Playroom.
